saturday, january 19, 2013, started like any usual saturday- that is, a usual saturday when your very best friend stays over and you've spent too long the previous evening indulging in sweets and alcohol (;  i was up first (typical), followed by justin- who had to drive up to Lake Arrowhead for business, then kim, who slept like a baby in our newly almost-done-and-furnished guest bedroom.

since justin was absent in the morning, kim and i made plans to bike (: so we hopped on the beach cruisers and headed down the street. the skies were blue, the air was crisp, and it was a glorious 73 degrees outside.

winter in southern california is really something...

we ended up biking about 7 miles around the local neighborhoods, admiring the views of the snow-capped mountiains in the distance and plotting our triumphant, conquering hike of the local hills.

we finished biking before justin got home, and our bellies were screaming at us! so we bbq'd veggie burgers and corn, and chowed down like fatties (;

after "linner", we started our quest toward the hills that are essentially in our backyard. we grabbed p-pup and rd and said farewell to nubster (who, of course,, was barking like the jerk he is as we left- if ya didn't throw up every time you were on a leash, you'd get to go too, dude.). we ended up hiking to one of the peaks, roughly 2 miles or so... the dogs loved it (:

we did, too.

saturday, january 19, 2013, was spent basking in the sun and enjoying this thing called life.  we tried our best to keep it "healthy", since social situations/hanging out with friends are usually a gluttonous yet hilarious time: 

- we cooked our meals with no oil

- had a dance party in the kitchen

- got outside and enjoyed the sunshine

- pumped up our hearts with some cardio

- and stretched our legs for a bit!
